New Tools

The Flexcut micro palm set arrived today and wow! what ease--- 2 1mms , one 1.5 mm and one 2.5 mm...

Where I'd been using the Speedball knife and an exacto, now I have tools that can make the squiggles and remove the tiny bits with a lot less effort.

I've used them immediately to work on one of my angels! So glad I read about them in the Carving Consortium archives. They have made the little locks I was carving, easy.

Lovely little wooden box for them and I like how the wwood feels in my palm.

I am thinking about getting a set of these after seeing these on your blog. How much are you using them? Are you still using the speedball as well? I want to be able to carve around letters and I want to work in linoleum do you think these tools would suit my needs?

Regularly! One of my best tool purchases ever!
Yes, the old speedball tools are great, too! I prefer working in linoleum and so use these on them....

and yet the biggest aha comes from the slip strop sharpening those speedball tools.
